Death
This illustration is inspired by a Persian folktale named The Wandering Nightingale.
The story is about a boy who is cunningly beheaded by his step-mother out of spite. Later, the boy's sister buries his brother's bones, watering them with rose water while praying. After a few weeks a plant grows in that place and a nightingale sits on its branch at night - the bird being the murdered boy. In the end, he manages to take revenge against his step-mother.
