Ononi Paper Clock

The parameters for this project included using only paper, and no adhesives, to construct a base for a clock mechanism. I immediately wanted to work with the concept of waves, or sections, of paper that fanned out to support and suspend the clock piece. By combining different thicknesses and lengths of paper, I was also able to avoid using any tabs or locking mechanisms. The final form resembled a peeled onion, from which I derived the name Ononi.
