Lighting Design for the National Museum Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam

The first large national museum in the world to be entirely done with Digital Lighting. The national press wrote "The Light is From Heaven".
Rogier started the project in 1997 and it was completed in 2013. Lots of collaborators along the way: Philips Lighting, BeersNielsen, Cruz y Ortiz, Brad Koerner, to name just a few.
A custom-designed luminaire, a sophisticated wireless control system and all of our knowledge of art, conservation, visitor experience and culture bundled in a single, holistic lighting design.
