Alfred Nobel's 187 Birthday
Today marks 187 years since the birth of Alfred Bernhard Nobel, Swedish chemist, engineer, inventor, businessman, and philanthropist. Among his 355 patents, as the most notable one stands dynamite, which he developed as a safer explosive following the death of his younger brother Emil. Upon reading an erroneous obituary blaming him for profiting from trading weapons, Nobel willed his fortune to establishing the Nobel Prize, awarded to the remarkable breakthroughs in humankind, in the fields of Physics, Chemistry, Physiology or Medicine, Literature, Economic Sciences, and Peace.
We designed a minimalistic, modern, stylish concept of a website dedicated to Nobel's life and work.
