Being a problem solver the observation is a very important tool. To look beyond what it is showing and hence as a designer we must have that lens ON always. With technology; adaptability has become crucial. And it is prime to keep improving the customer experience. A couple of days back when I was traveling, I certainly observed how the machine is nudging the user when the music streaming app is connected to the car mode. And like this adaptability comes into the picture. An intelligent machine is understanding the context and making changes to alleviate the user experience. And at the same time ensuring safety. It blew my mind completely how important these little things are and how these can impact.

Driving is a high input task and it is important to give maximum attention to the road and obstacles. Thus the cognition and attention are two important factors here. While driving we are in the focused attention and it becomes difficult to attend to inputs that use the same modality and draw the same resources. Like this, it hampers our response mechanism. And thus it becomes crucial to use these limited mental resources. Hence safety is very important in such contexts as we have limited STM and we must use it effectively. And thus we must de-clutter interruptions and make the user experience better.
