'Jane Eyre' by Charlotte Brontë – Cover Concept

Today marks the publishing anniversary of Charlotte Brontë's book 'Jane Eyre', which pioneered storytelling from a first-person narrative and feminist viewpoints. It's also kinda of fantastically weird and gothic in parts which defies this idea of it being a romance novel.

In my cover concept I wanted to pick up on the idea of this duality, this inner passion and life she had without using the trope of a woman in silhouette. So instead I used the trope of a gradient :) If I saw this sitting on a bookshelf I'd take a second look.
