Inland Waterways Association (UK)

This concept attempts to create a simple, timeless mark for the Inland Waterways Association (IWA).

Background: IWA's current identity is consistent in application. However, the logomark attempts to incorporate multiple layers of meaning. This has resulted in a complicated final mark which creates challenges in both small sizes and consistency in reproduction. You can view the current IWA mark here: https://www.waterways.org.uk/

About the new Identity Mark: Two lines represent the 6000+ miles of canals and navigable rivers in the UK. In addition, the negative space silhouettes a bridge to acknowledge the over 2000 listed structures and 5 UNESCO World Heritage Sites the IWA also help support and restore.

This was completed as part of a Sagi Haviv brand identity course on Domestika. Visit the link to view how the mark has been extended into applications here: https://www.domestika.org/en/projects/898028-inland-waterways-association-uk
