‘Crest to Icon’ is a personal project to create a simple identifying icon for all twenty football clubs in the English Premier League.

Newcastle’s club crest is a simply a modern version of the city coat of arms. As with all the clubs in this project the goal was to make “a simple identifying icon.” A Norman castle with black and white stripes is a simple form which can only be Newcastle United.
