Houston Sabercats Concept

Recently found out the US has a rugby league and I wanted to create a more clear solution for the Houston Sabercats as it’s hard to tell what’s going on in their current rendition. I see a rugby ball in the mouth but it doesn’t feel natural.⁣

The goal for me was to create a logo that was more relevant to the location, sport and mascot.
