This latest potential comeback is very divisive, though: wall-to-wall carpeting. Over the years, the trend of paving has been about hardwood flooring (or engineered wood flooring). The carpet becomes difficult to clean, and is a major hassle to remove, so one can easily assume that the carpet is good.
