Women's Equality Day

I made this illustration to celebrate International Women's Equality Day on August 26. I had fun delving into the history of Dutch feminism a bit when I made this, 'cause I tend to take things for granted that seem so normal now but weren't only less than a century ago. Like before 1944 women weren't allowed in the armed forces. I also found out about the 'moedermavo' (Dutch) which was established in 1975; higher education for moms, giving them a second chance to study since most only got the chance to go to highschool (some only elementary school). And how about the KNVB officially recognising women in football in 1971 ⚽️
