Social Security Calculator Redesign

Working with a team at Code Night for Boston, I did the UX/UI for a social security calculator redesign. Our goal was to make it easier for government employees to predict their retirement income and avoid Windfall Elimination. Windfall Elimination is when deductions are taken from someone's retirement check for various reasons.

This shot here is part of a slide show, explaining the complicated formula of how social security determines someone's salary in retirement. The information in the slide deck is customized for the user, showing them their actual benefits and how they're calculated.
