Mental Nap

This illustration is a part of my collection "Real Life in Patterns." This project series expresses my Bipolar disorder, PCOS and overall life through art.

The colorful half represents my manic episodes, and the black and white represents my depression crash following mania. The floating white of my face and my dog's represents the out of body feeling that often comes with mental distress.
