Toshinori Yagi - Drawing and process

Today I will share something different, a drawing I did approximately 2 years ago. The character is from the anime series Boku no hero academia. The scene is from my favorite episode of the entire series. Many might consider the animated series to be childish, but only those who watch them can understand that these are much more than that, the production work is quite complex and many details are taken care of, it is like a movie or a novel, but animated. The soundtrack of this series, the animations, the drama, the fights and the emotions are EPIC. It's definitely my favorite animated series. Courage, respect, friendship, honor and other values are part of this amazing series where each one exceeds his own limits... yes, watch it :D

About the process

It took me over 8 hours to complete it, but once I started I couldn't stop, I just took a couple of lunch breaks. It is exciting to lose track of time when you are so focused. Curious details, for those days I did not have pencils with me, only crayons, so the sketch was made in yellow and, even though the drawing was not perfect, some erroneous strokes remained exposed in yellow.

My dominant hand is the right, so that's why I paint from left to right to avoid staining the support, although the color of the crayons does not scatter like graphite (interesting tip).
