Spread Study 05

"I can worry about racism without being seen as self-interested or self-serving." oof. yep, that's my white privilege.

This essay by Peggy McIntosh, “White Privilege: Unpacking the Invisible Knapsack,” includes a reflection on acknowledging the daily effects of that privilege.
I included in my spread just 12 of the 50 privileges she has on her working list; things she (as a white person) can count on, that her Black counterparts and contacts most likely cannot. Written in 1989, it doesn’t feel so outdated.
