SALT LAKE CITY - 2020 FLAG REDESIGN #1
I’m very honored to present my design for a new flag for Salt Lake City.
The flag consists of many symbols that make up our great city.
• Yellow Bar: New Horizons: Always looking upward and onward.
• Blue Bar: Great Salt Lake
• Honeycomb shape: Representing our hard working people also tying in as well our motto “The Beehive State”. It also ties in the year our city was founded, in 1847.
• Sun: Always a new a beautiful day. It also ties in with the New Horizons bar in the flag.
• Mountains: The Rocky Mountains of which our city lies next too, and the white snow capped mountains represent "The Greatest Snow on Earth."
•The date of 1847 represents the year the Pioneers settled Salt Lake City.

This is our City. This is our Flag.
