Salzburg, Austria - Rebranding

Work in progress for my print design course. Project is to redesign the city's identity and incorporate it into a poster & brochure.

The Arc is to signify the baroque style citadel, Festung Hohensalzburg. The Musical note represents the birthplace of Wolfgang Mozart. The tallest peak represents Untersberg, the tallest nearby alpine mountain, while the two smaller peaks represent Mönchsberg and Kapuzinerberg mountains. Finally, the wave at the bottom of the logo, portrays the Salzach River.
