Cottontale

The mid-day heat was draining. Without much shade in the area, I was grateful to come across a large rock formation casting a shadow to rest in.

As I stumbled to the shade I noticed that it was already occupied. A small cottontail rabbit huddled beneath the rock nibbling an a patch of grass. Moving into the shade, the little guy looked up, decided I wasn’t a threat, and then went back to his meal. I sat watching him for a little while then went into my pack for water. When I looked back up he had vanished.

This was originally designed to be vertical and was modified to fit into Dribbble's specs.
