30 Days of Art: (9) Photos App

Today's UI design took me much longer to complete due to rendering and exporting, something I haven't done with video files since last year...

I thought I could get away with exporting my file as a .gif, but the .psd was so large that Photoshop ran into an unknown error. Then, I tried to select "Render as Video" since the animation I made in Photoshop was done through the Timeline feature but it took forever to load up the window and I was nearly about to give up for the night... until I remembered After Effects was made for this specific purpose. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Luckily I have past experience using AE thanks to creating promotional media for school clubs, so all it had to take for me was to configure render settings and I got a working file in under 5 seconds!

Anyhow, now that's all been cleared up and done for, I figured I needed more practice with creating UI animations, so I downloaded Principle for Mac for this exact purpose. The reason why I did so was because I saw students and new grads in UX/UI list Principle as a program they know how to use in their resume, so I thought it would best to gain a bit of practice on learning the software. Now I can see why Principle would be impressive for Product Design jobs. 😉
