Big Slick 10 Breakdown

Big Slick is a celebrity weekend that raises money for Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. I was selected to brand and design the campaign for this years Big Slick. This was their 10th year anniversary and they moved it into the Sprint Center.

Since Children's Mercy does such great work and our event touches on sensitive topics our concept must appeal to children and adults. Fun while remaining respectful and attentive to our goal, helping and raising money for the children at Children's Mercy.

We started with cutting out paper shapes, paper props, skylines, buildings, windows, etc. etc. Every graphic here started out as cut paper, scanned in, edited and assembled into the design system you see before you. Seriously Fun. The textures are real, the shapes are real and I think that makes this concept so special and genuine. We really wanted to make something fun for the children. That they could enjoy. Even the typography was cut out and scanned in! We had so much fun making this system.

The system included a full branding system, everything from merch and swag to billboards, web graphics, and Sprint Center graphics as well!

This was a beast of a system and it was well worth it. The end results were amazing, raising 2.5 Million for Children's Mercy, and generating 5000+ social media impression, shares, tags, etc.
