FTUE - App Onboarding

Happy Wednesday! I hope everyone is holding up through the lockdown.

Our app Drummit is very nearly ready to be launched and we are so excited.

We're currently in our final beta test - testing out the first time user experience. It took a while to decide how many steps to include - at first I think we had about 20 listed out! An FTUE needs to be informative enough to allow users to understand how to use the app, but it also needs to be short enough and quick enough to get them through so they can start enjoying the app!

The most important thing to think about in onboarding is giving the user feedback as to how far along in the process they are (1 out 4 etc) and also to allow them to exit if they're not interested - you don't want to lock them into an endless tutorial!
