Swiggy MEEL Concept Design

Even though Swiggy provides a wide range of features, there is one feature that I particularly feel that it lacks. Swiggy doesn’t allow users to buy food from multiple restaurants in a single order. For example, if you want to eat a Zinger Burger from KFC along with Cheesy Fries from Burger King you would have to place two orders (one to each restaurant) in order to get them delivered together (Both the items would be delivered by a different delivery guy). You can not order from two restaurants in just a single order no matter how close the two restaurants are.

Thus, I've tried to add a feature to the existing Swiggy App which would allow the users to order food from different restaurants in one go.

Assumptions taken:
1. Swiggy won’t be guaranteeing a 30 minutes delivery as visiting and picking up orders at multiple locations might require more time (Distance Dependant). Swiggy would still be ensuring the fastest possible delivery though.
2. The delivery boy would be visiting the farthest restaurant first.
3. The user might order from at the maximum of 3 restaurants each within a distance of 2 Kms from one another, lest the food might get cold.

Here is a shot of designs I've made. Swiggy MEEL could further be expanded to include ‘Combo’ offers, i.e. a selected combination of food from two restaurants with certain discount offers.
