Fintech Wallet Project Close up Shot

This is a close up shot of the project, showing the balance screen which is the first screen a user sees after signing in.

Emphasis here was on visual hierarchy, the most important detail on the page is obviously the 'Balance', followed by the 'Deposit and Payout' and then 'Recent activity'

For the 'Deposit and Payout', i tried to deviate from the norm and common rounded squares, instead i took inspiration from instant messaging, the 'Deposit' = the received message bubble while the 'Pay out' = the sent message bubble.

COMPROMISE
----------
The major compromise was the the drop-down on the pay out button, the original brief had 3 buttons; 'Deposit' 'Pay out' 'Send internally'. During sketching, 3 buttons turned to be too clustered especially accounting for smaller screens by some users.

A little research showed that users that clicked 'Payout' either wanted to send money to another user of the app or someone not using the app, hence the drop-down, so when a user clicks payout, the user gets the option to do either.

LESSON LEARNED
--------------
Functionality + Aesthetic >>> Aesthetic - Functionality.
