Blue Ribbon Carpentry Logo

This is a work in progress logo (hence the "Insert Slogan Here!") for a start up carpentry company. They're name inspiration came from their love of PBR. With that in mind, I tried to stay away from the cliche "Blue Ribbon" design. I'm looking for feedback to improve the design. Thanks!
