Baq Logo

Currently working with an early stage technology startup.

Though there’s a lot of work to be done on the product itself, before that I wanted to help establish a brand that we could take forward. A starting point. Something more tangible.

I had a Zoom call with the founder and we discussed the product and where he’d like to take it. We didn’t do a big fancy branding workshop. Just a chat.

I had a think and proposed a new name. He agreed and I got to work on the logo. It was about a days worth of work and just right for where the startup are on their journey.

I can’t get into the details about the service just yet so the design rationale is a little out of context but…

The logo mark mimics an eye or a target - it’s also the ‘b’, ‘a’ and ‘q’ combined together.

The whole logo, including the logo type is composed of bars and circles… or 1’s and 0’s (binary) or I’s and O’s (input/output) which is an ultra subtle nod to the technology component of the service.

We’re happy with the outcome. What do you think?
