Jesus Easter Illustration

Today is Resurrection Sunday. A day that stands alone as the most important event in history. This isn't some fairy tale, fictitious event, or hoax.

The Resurrection of the man Jesus of Nazareth is historically verifiable. Hundreds of eye witnesses, book ended with the murder of his own disciples, defending and proclaiming this truth with their lives.

Jesus' sacrifice is for everyone who would repent and believe in who he was. That he was and Is the son of God, God himself. He came in a lowly vessel, in human flesh, and died a criminals death.
He was killed so that we could be made righteous.
Heaven isn't made available to everyone who was 'good enough' on earth; those who did more good than bad. That's not what the bible teaches.

Heaven is made for those who God redeems; those made righteous by loving his Son, and repenting for their sins.

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9

It was the love of God for his creation that put him on that cross. He thought of you individually. You aren't too far gone. You haven't done too much wrong to turn to him.

Seek him, and you shall find him. Repent and believe in the Gospel.

"And Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, since he also is a son of Abraham. For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” Luke 19:9-10
