Rhythm & Brews Bar Branding

For Branding and Identity Systems, I was instructed to do a comprehensive re-branding project based off a local company of my choosing. Rhythm and Brews, a local college bar and live music venue in Tuscaloosa, was the pretend client. My strategy was to clean up the bar's logo while keeping a vintage feel as well as introduce fun, southern touchpoints that appeal primarily to college students and fans of country and rock music. I was heavily inspired by western typefaces and southern whiskey brands such as Jack Daniels and Jim Beam when designing the Rhythm and Brews wordmark. The patterns reflect the halftone aspect of many vintage designs, and the textures add an extra weathered feel.
