The brief for this one was fairly simple, with the client originally just providing an image of coal embers and asking that we create something abstract from that. Initial ideas seemed too dark, too heavy on the high contrast greys, black tones, and reds. Seeing as this song isn't particularly dark in tone, the final art relies more on blue shades, and a lower contrast look, with the central piece being an abstract form that evokes the idea of heat, energy, burning embers, glowing coals, etc., in keeping with the song title and lyrical content.
