Once in a while, you need to be pushed out of your design comfort zone and this is something my friends and I try to do on a weekly basis.

This is something that can be done solo or with friends. Create a mood board for a random style that pushes your comfort zone, put aside an hour and design without limits. Just enjoy and trust the process.
