Saint Pathiri #mytinystories

In the late seventeenth century, a Jesuit Pathiri (പാതിരി/priest) used to roam around the Malabar, displaying some magic tricks to attract children whom he loved a lot. He was very old with a shining bald head and long white beard. Kids greeted the Pathiri with respect and surrounded him when he created bubbles from the air. Not just one or two bubbles, it was like a rain of bubbles produced when he waved his long beard in the air. Nobody got to know where he is coming and where he is going.
One blue moon night he woke from a deep dream and decided to shave his beard. The moment he cut the first beard, a huge bubble appeared and took him inside. Nobody has seen him after that.

After a few years, kids from the tribal groups happened to see bubbles from the air when they got scared of a tiger attack. They recognized that the tiger left their village without making any trouble to them once after it witnessed the showering of bubbles. There are so many tales of bubbles in the valley in which children are saved from danger and everyone started to believe that the old Pathiri with bubbles is doing all these miracles. Eventually, people started worshiping him and then our Pathiri became a Saint.

Oh yes, we can call him as a superhero - The Saint Pathiri aka Bubbleman!
