Dean College Bulldogs | Rebrand Intro

College athletics can be an incredible platform for growth and development, so when Dean College, a liberal arts college in Franklin Mass, approached me with the aim of elevating their athletics brand identity, I was excited at the chance to team up! Focusing on their primary athletics logo, a bulldog based mark inspired by ‘Boomer’ the Bulldog - their school mascot and literal on-campus statue - we dove into the research portion of the project, defining key character traits for the new logo, unique features of a Bulldog, and general attributes we wanted the mark to capture. Serving to guide the creative process, this essential groundwork acted as a guardrail and anchor for the exploration that followed.
