Atacama Salt Packaging

I always start with design & market research.

So before even doing any thumbnails on my notebook, I made offline visits to the grocery stores and other available packaging designs online, looking at the current designs for Salt in the market. I also create customer avatars to guide the design process.

Together with my client, we try to make most creative decisions upfront on what graphic elements, mood & colors should be explored for the packaging design.
Once we've come to a consensus, thats the only time I move on to concept boards and mood boards.

When one is approved, only then do I go on to create stylescapes and rough thumbnails. From there, everything flows with back and forth communication with the client until we've come to the final design.
