Sopot by the Book Website

Each year, the municipal public library and the city of Sopot select one country the literature of which is the theme of the festival. The festival is aimed not only to promote literature and reading. Most of all, it is an tremendous opportunity to meet people who want to share with us their increased sensitivity and powers of observation. With the unconventional locations and the food for thought provided by the organisers, we can contemplate the vital matters often lost in the rush of everyday life. We were asked to design a new website for a unique initiative on the map of Tricity - Sopot by the Book Festival. Our design goal was to move away from the existing aesthetics of the website, to develop an idea that would be based on a large impression of space, and to move away from the dominant blue colour that identifies the festival. We designed, among other things, events subpages, news, a subpage with festival guests and mobile versions for all subpages.
