UI Challenge 03 - Landing Page

UI Challenge for a landing page for a website centered around travel, specifically to Asia.

I first laid out a grid followed by the global navigation at the top. The page features a short destination along with four pages for the primary navigation of the page that clearly showcase to users the four main parts of the website to access which would inform users of their destinations and travel accommodations.

The hero image is featured with as a gallery that would continually change to show the user glimpses of destinations. It is overlaid with a soft grey transparency so that the white text on top of it is more easily legible. A darker color scheme is implemented, rather than a light one which would have more faded the appearance of the colors in the photograph.

The logo as well as the chosen highlight color of the website is red, which was chosen to represent "Asia" since most of the flags on that continent contain that color, especially Asia pacific. The "sun" is a common symbol as well for several flags of the continent

Lastly, t he location and photo credits appear at the bottom as the images change.
