Richmond Folk Festival

As one of our most authentic area events, the Richmond Folk Festival has delivered global music and culture in the heart of Richmond for many years without charging admission. Traditionally, the “Bucket Brigade” team of volunteers collect cash donations in their orange buckets, with all donations going toward keeping the festival free to the public. However, in today’s digital age, many people don’t carry cash and can't donate that way.

So this year, the CapTech team designed and developed a way to support the music and make a (digital) drop in the bucket through a web-based app that allows the folk festers to make a donation of any dollar amount using their Venmo, PayPal or credit/debit card. We are super proud to be a part of this!
