Hydro Houses
These are the first 9 of 63 of the Toronto hydro houses. I drew all of them as an exploration of Toronto's history. It is not a city that is usually associated with its history, but this is a unique story that I heard of and wanted to tell. The city of Toronto decided to disguise hydro transformers inside shells of houses. There are 3 walls and a roof that surround these unsightly metal objects hidden in Toronto neighbourhoods. I sourced the images from a list of the houses and ended up with a total of 63 houses and drawings.
