The Growlers Album Cover

I created an album cover for the Growlers, a surf rock band from Southern California. Their music is a fusion of the dreamy West Coast style and psychedelic rock, and I wanted to embody these characteristics through retro-style images of California. I went through a long process of finding vintage California images and treated them in both Photoshop and Illustrator, adding halftones, saturating and colorizing the images, and incorporating an appropriate type that I felt fit with the style of the group.
