High Rock Silverbacks | Research & Sketching

Inspired by Silverback gorillas, the High Rock Silverbacks identity aims to capture the dominant qualities of a troop leader. Strength, power, and resolve.

As with nearly all my work, real-world reference is key - in this case, it was a balance of finding the features of a silverback gorilla that most captured the character I wanted to present then enhancing them in the mascot & supporting logos. Full identity coming next!
