NameShouts - Application

Hey Dribbble! 👋

In 2019, I started working with a lovely team over at NameShouts from Canada. 🐘🇨🇦
Their product is a name pronunciation tool. All names are spoken by native speakers, so that you can always make a good first impression when speaking to someone of a different nationality. 🗣️✅

We focused on refreshing the brand a little bit, designing a brand hero, improving the onboarding experience & the product itself.

Here are some views of the application itself.

The idea is pretty simple. You search for a name that you want to pronounce right, and NameShouts check whether they have it in their database or not.

As there’s a lot of manual work involved (getting natives to actually pronounce things right), sometimes you won’t get a result. That’s not a problem though, as you can ask NameShouts to provide it with a click of a button.

If the name does exist in the system, it’ll show as a tile that you can click, hear & learn how a given name is pronounced by a native speaker.

There’s a snail mode as well to take things slow, as hearing a word in a new language can be hard to comprehend. 🐌

NameShouts have also created Lists. Have a multi-national class & want to check if everyone is present? Just hit Play and let the product do the job for you. ✌️
