About Kozume

An honest, tranquil, ceremonial-grade, slightly sweet matcha. This organic matcha boasts no-frills: it is simply refreshing and delicious. The combination of theanine (relaxant) and caffeine (a stimulant) in matcha allows for a calm, sustained concentration. This is why matcha was a central element in the spiritual practice of Zen monks, You may enjoy Matcha during your everyday work, where the constant, peaceful concentration Matcha provides allows you to perform at your best – centuries-old wisdom relevant for our lives today.

I was asked to design the branding design for Kozume. I’ve decided to play with the letter Tea in Japanese Kanji. The logo sign and logo mark designed according to the brand principles we defined together with Kozume. I wanted to help the masses associate and identify the product.
