Maine State Seal

This year, the Vaughan Homestead in Hallowell, Maine is holding a competition for a modern interpretation of the Maine State Seal. I chose to simplify the iconic symbolism of the seal with a stamp-like aesthetic. Crisp lines, clean typography, and detailed mark-making take the center stage with this reinterpretation.
