Ketchup Infographic

Ketchup went through years of transformation, development, and controversy, before finally becoming the staple condiment we know and love. It earned it’s reputation for a reason and I was curious to know what that reason was. Nothing achieves that level of popularity without a good backstory. Its history captures good and bad intentions leading to calls for action and heated debate. It’s an excellent example of how motivating the mundane can be. The passionate pursuit of creating an all natural condiment that could be enjoyed by all ages and with foods included in the increasingly popular commercial food industry, brought us the same ketchup we enjoy today. It is one of the few un-wavering trends in human history and I created this visual to explain why that’s the case and bring attention to it.
