EU2020HR "Embroidery" Visual Identity Design

This was an entry work for a public design competition held by the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs for the Presidency of the Council of the European Union's visual identity in 2020. The organizer of the competition was the Croatian Designers Association.

University North was one of five invited contestants. Under the guidance of our mentor Igor Kuduz, Marina Štefančić, Leona Vertuš and me, came up with a design entry called "Embroidery".

Visual identity is made up of the mark and typography. A mark idea was inspired by traditional embroidery, represented with base dot grid and lettering. If mark and typography are looked as a whole, they are shaped as two chessboard squares that appear on Croatian crest.

There is one more entry we did and I'll post it this week :) stay tuned! I would like to mention Ana Medvedec and Magdalena Krištofić who were also a part of the team and worked on the slogan, mockups, and other graphic design applications.

This description turned almost into a blog post xD formalities...

Dribbbling you soon! :)
