Thought I'd try my hand at 'neumorphism' — there's a lot of hate going around for this style/trend, so here's my two cents:
In my opinion, it's very easy to overdo and it's tough to strike a balance where it looks good and remains user friendly at the same time (I think this is where most of the hate comes from, function over form).
I feel like this style would complement small app products more (music players, wearables, etc.) but mostly, it'll come down to user preference. There are some unique animated textures that do come with it, so I do find it interesting. Either way, it's always good to explore different aesthetics and at the end of the day, I'm pretty sure there's bigger things to worry about.
