About the Role
We’re looking for a talented Product Designer to join our growing product team and help shape the future of laboratory software. You’ll work closely with the product manager, engineers, and subject matter experts to research, design, and iterate on intuitive, elegant user experiences that solve complex problems for our customers. You’ll blend design craft with product thinking, and have ownership of features from concept to final polish, ensuring they are both delightful to use and highly functional.
What You’ll Do
Conduct user research to deeply understand customer needs, workflows, pain points, and synthesize findings to guide design decisions.
Translate insights into end-to-end feature designs that align with both user goals and business priorities.
Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that lead to intuitive user experiences.
Collaborate with product and engineering to ensure designs are feasible, scalable, and implemented with high quality.
Take a user-centric design approach and iterate based on feedback and conduct usability testing to continually improve the product’s user experience.
Identify user experience challenges and design solutions that improve the overall UX for customers.
Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to old and new features.
Advocate for design best practices and user needs while balancing technical and business constraints.
Contribute to our new and evolving design system.
What We’re Looking For
3-5 years of experience designing SaaS products, ideally in complex or technical domains.
A strong portfolio showcasing visual design excellence, and UI/UX and product thinking.
Proficiency in Figma and modern design practices.
Experience working from problem definition through to shipped product.
Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, accessibility, and responsive design.
Experience designing workflow software and dashboards.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate in a remote-first environment.
Able to work within US-based time zones.
Nice to Have
Experience designing for enterprise or B2B software.
Familiarity with laboratory workflows or LIMS platforms.
Experience designing compact applications that are highly configurable for power users.
Experience in regulated domains (e.g. HealthTech, Biotech, Life Sciences)
Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000/yr
