What is the role about?
You'll play a unique dual role, combining creative design thinking with technical implementation. Your work will directly shape how millions of users interact with Ring Twice, with a balanced focus on:
Creating intuitive, beautiful interfaces that make our platform a joy to use
Building those designs into performant, maintainable React components
We’re looking for a Product Designer to join our Product team and own the design vision of our platform. But you'll also be the go-to person for our front-end developers, ensuring our design system evolves consistently and delivers exceptional user experiences.
While your core focus is product design, React knowledge is a strong plus which will help you understand technical constraints, collaborate smoothly with engineers, and even implement components when needed.
You would be joining our Product & Engineering team composed of 2 Project managers, 1 Product marketer, 3 Back-end developers, 1 Full-Stack developer and 1 senior Front-end React/React Native, having all between 6 and 15 years of experience!
Your main mission will be to bridge the gap between design vision and technical implementation, ensuring our platform delivers exceptional user experiences while maintaining high-performance standards across both our ReactJS web platform and React Native mobile app.

Your mission & responsibilities
As a Product Designer at Ring Twice, you’ll be at the crossroads of design and development. You won’t just design screens. You’ll be responsible of making our product as simple, consistent, and delightful as possible. From co-creating solutions with the product and engineering team to building and evolving our UI library, you’ll be a driving force in how users experience Ring Twice every day.
Your key responsibilities:
DESIGN:
Co-creation with the product team during ideation of various solutions (UI/UX research)
Prototype development using Figma, Sketch, or similar tools
Owner and custodian of the Ring Twice UI library (both the component library and final UI)
Front-end specifications and co-creation of user stories
Conduct user research and usability testing
Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes
DEVELOPMENT:
Build and maintain high-performance UI components in ReactJS and React Native
Implement responsive interfaces from design specifications
Collaborate with backend team on API integration
Optimize performance across mobile and web platforms
Contribute to the progressive decoupling of Rails SSR views toward React SPA
Maintain and evolve the component library in code

What you'll need to succeed
3+ years of experience in UI/UX design with a strong portfolio
1+ years of experience with ReactJS and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
Proficiency in design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite)
Strong understanding of design systems and component libraries
Experience translating designs into clean, maintainable React code
Knowledge of CSS-in-JS solutions (styled-components, emotion)
Understanding of responsive design and mobile-first principles
Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative workflows
Excellent communication skills to bridge design and development teams
Comfortable communicating in English (our internal team language)
Bonus point(s) if...
Knowledge of motion design and micro-interactions
Familiarity with design tokens and theming systems
Experience with design handoff tools (Chromatic, Storybook, Figma Dev Mode)
Background in user research methodologies
Experience with React Native
Knowledge of web accessibility best practices
Portfolio showing both design work and live coded projects

Our offices are located in BeCentral, literally above the Central Station of Brussels. Home working is obviously possible (and encouraged up to 2 days/week), but we believe bringing people together gives the best outcome. For this reason, we are not looking for a full-remote candidate.
