Reclip Shareable Asset Designer

Background

Reclip is a new social media app with over 1.5 million downloads that is changing the way teens capture and share moments. This is how it works: https://www.instagram.com/p/DCXUo5vSMpH/

Reclip is exploding with Gen Alpha and we are looking for some design help for a very exciting initiative. 

Objective

Turn Reclips into a compelling, visually distinct shareable asset that gets posted to other platforms (e.g. Snapchat, Instagram, TikTok) and conveys to users who watch them, what exactly they are watching ie. A retroactively captured IRL moment This asset should:

  • Convey what a Reclip is: An authentic audio clip caught retroactively (with potential animations).

  • Spark curiosity and engagement from viewers on other platforms

  • Align with Reclip’s brand tone, aesthetic, and Gen Alpha sensibility

Target Platforms (in the following order of Importance)

  • Tiktok

  • Instagram

  • SnapChat

Core Concept

“Caught After the Moment” This is the magic of Reclip. The asset should feel like a surprise time capsule, like someone stumbled on a wild or emotional moment, authentic moment and managed to save it after it happened. It shouldn’t feel staged or scripted — it should feel spontaneous, authentic, and slightly voyeuristic (in a fun way).

Requirements

Must-Haves

  • A visual cue that this is a recorded audio moment, e.g. waveform animation, audio bars, timestamp, or a subtle “Reclip saved” icon

  • Clear Reclip branding (logo or watermark in corner, color palette, font)

  • It needs to be distinct and recognisable so when people see it, they immediately notice that it's something unique.

  • Optional ideas: a hook line such as

    • “This just happened…”

    • “Saved with Reclip 🔁”

    • “Wish you heard this live?”

    • “Reclip caught it” “Caught in 4k” (We can test multiple copy lines)

    • IRL Clipping

Format & Specs

  • Vertical video format (1080x1920)

  • Shareable as a Story

  • Lightweight animation OK, but must be mobile-optimized and platform-friendly

  • Include safe zones for captions/stickers

  • Deliver as .mp4 or .mov (with .png fallback)

Tone & Brand Alignment

  • Aesthetic: clean, slightly playful, Gen Alpha-forward

  • Feel: spontaneous, authentic, witty

  • Colours: use Reclip’s core brand palette. See end of doc

  • Fonts: match Reclip’s brand fonts (or approved alternates)

What You’ll Be Doing

Reclip is a brand-new concept, and because it’s so unique, many people find it hard to understand. That’s why we want to redesign what a Reclip looks like and explore creative ways to make it intuitive and easy to grasp.

This is where you come in! Once hired, your main task will be to redesign a Reclip so that anyone can immediately understand what it is and how it works.

Deliverables

  1. 1x fully designed Reclip shareable asset (static or animated)

  2. Source file (Figma/After Effects/etc)

  3. Style guide for this asset type (optional, but helpful for future iterations)
