About the Hiring Company 

Faai Inc is a Boston-based startup on a mission to bring high-quality, ready-to-cook and ready-to-eat meals directly to our customers' doors. Our focus is on convenience, authenticity, and flavor, all delivered through a seamless user experience. 

 

As we build out our digital presence, we're looking for a Senior UI/UX Designer to lead the design of our website and mobile app. This is a unique opportunity to join early and shape the entire user journey, from brand discovery to checkout, and everything in between. 

 

Job Description: 

  • Take ownership of the end-to-end user experience across web and mobile platforms 

  • Translate business goals and user needs into intuitive flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes 

  • Design key customer touchpoints: onboarding, menu browsing, ordering, checkout, account management, etc. 

  • Help define and establish a visual identity and digital design language for the brand 

  • Collaborate closely with founders, product managers, engineers, and marketing to bring the product vision to life 

  • Conduct user research and testing to iterate on ideas quickly and effectively 

  • Build and maintain a scalable design system as the product evolves 

  • Lay the foundation for a strong in-house design culture 

 

Required Skills and Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of experience in UI/UX design, with a strong background in consumer-facing products (especially e-commerce, food delivery, or lifestyle apps) 

  • A portfolio that showcases thoughtful UX solutions and polished UI work. Please attach when you apply to this position.  

  • Proficient in Figma and familiar with design systems, prototyping, and user testing tools 

  • Comfortable working in ambiguity and excited about building from zero-to-one 

  • Strong sense of visual design, brand aesthetics, and user empathy 

  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset 

  • Based in or willing to relocate to Boston, MA (we work hybrid and value in-person collaboration) 

 

Nice to Have 

  • Experience with early-stage startups or building products from scratch 

  • Familiarity with food delivery behavior 

  • Knowledge of front-end basics (HTML/CSS) 

  • Experience designing both iOS and Android native app experiences

This is a full-time position in MA. Faai Inc.’s office is located in Cambridge, MA. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship is not being offered at this time. Extensive travel is not expected.
