Mid–Senior Designer (6-Month Contract)
POMPOM is a young and ambitious creative agency making brands hard to ignore. We’re a tight-knit, nimble team working across brand, campaign, illustration, digital and print — and we’re on the lookout for a mid–senior designer to join us on a 6-month contract with the possibility of becoming permanent in future.
We work across lifestyle, food and drink, property, health and wellness, and government. We’re after someone with sharp ideas, a collaborative spirit, and a genuine love for the craft of design. You’ll be an integral part of the creative team, helping shape standout work from first idea through to final rollout — across print, digital, and everything in between.
What we’re looking for:
A strong conceptual thinker with a refined eye and versatile design skillset
Experience across both brand identity and campaign work (minimum 4–5 years in-studio or agency side)
Confident in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Figma
A folio that shows considered thinking, original ideas, and polished execution
Proactive, responsive, and comfortable working independently and in teams
Able to take feedback and push the work further
Detail-driven and committed to producing exceptional creative
A person based in Melbourne Australia who is able to come into the office on a daily basis
What you’ll do:
Contribute to the development of brand identities, visual systems and campaigns
Take projects from concept through to delivery with confidence and care
Implement ideas across a broad range of applications — from digital and social to print, packaging and signage
Collaborate closely with strategists, writers and other designers
Take ownership of your projects and help lift the creative bar
Nice to have:
A curiosity for emerging tools and technologies — whether it’s AI, motion, Webflow, or something new
Experience working with lifestyle, property or hospitality brands
A habit of drawing inspiration from beyond the design world
To apply:
Send us a short note about yourself at [email protected], a link to your folio, and what you’re hoping to get out of the role.
Hope to hear from you soon :)
