Development Communications Manager

MoFi is seeking a design-forward, project-savvy communicator to take our donor and debt partner communications to the next level. If you're a visual storyteller with a passion for purpose, an eye for detail, and a mind for managing high-impact projects—this role is for you.
About the Role
This is a design-focused position, where your top priority will be to lead the creation of bespoke, high-end materials several times a year that express what our donors and debt sources care most about. You'll own the production and project management of these custom communications, while working closely with our fundraisers to align with content and strategy. This role lives at the intersection of design excellence, project leadership, and fundraising insight—and requires someone who thrives in both creative and mission-driven environments.

Key Responsibilities
Custom Communications & Design
Create stunning, tailored materials that strengthen relationships with high-net-worth donors, foundations, banks, and public sector funders.
Produce pitch decks, case statements, one-pagers, and follow-up pieces with exceptional design polish.
Manage timelines, collaborators, and production logistics to deliver on brief and on brand.
Strategic Storytelling
Collaborate with fundraising and leadership teams to understand donor values and reflect them in communications.
Draw on stories and data from our lending and impact teams to demonstrate MoFi’s effectiveness with emotional and analytical impact.
Develop assets that equip supporters to spread the word—bringing peers and new funders into the fold.
Brand Stewardship
Ensure every piece you produce reflects MoFi’s identity in tone, visuals, and message.
Occasionally collaborate with contract designers or vendors, overseeing quality and cohesion.

What You Bring
5+ years experience in design, development communications, investor relations, or similar roles—especially in mission-driven or financial settings.
Advanced skills in Adobe Illustrator (and ideally other tools like InDesign, Canva, and PowerPoint).
A sharp eye for layout, typography, and visual storytelling.
Strong instincts for project management and team collaboration.
Deep curiosity, empathy, and a belief in economic justice.
